Although the bike show is officially the Laverda Club Concorse D'Elegance (or something like that).. it is simply known as the Story Bridge Bike Show. It is held under the Story Bridge in the middle of Brisbane (Queensland, Australia). This year it looked like it was going to rain, so the crowds were down a little, however the day was rain free and bikers turned up in droves. The car parks offered a huge arrange of sports beasts, cruisers, classic cult bikes and every day commuters.
Below is a small collection of snaps (thank god for 256Mb Digital Cameras) I only manged to snap 130 photos this year!
Honda 750 Club had a large display of members bikes, most being 750's of course....
Motorcycle Sportsmen Club had a nice display, including an old beast setup to run in the post clasic racing category.
Possibly one of the best Vincent Black Shadows around.... I have more photos of this if you want them :)
Just like one of mine..;)
Always loud and very popular... the Dyno never lies.
In the background under the bridge pier is the dyno, the crowds never stopped. In front a nice assortment of choppers.
Not your average communter bike!
A nice assortment of old bikes turned up on the day.
The show is also a good place for clubs to attract new members and dispel myths...
Hmmm let me see... "How many kilos of drugs does it take to buy one of these?"
Not a paint job I would put on my beasts but it certainly is creative.
Something you dont see everyday.. this is a z650 with the EFI throttle bodies from a GPz1100B2 and a Megasquirt MS1 home built EFI system fitted, it has an O2 sensor readout and a Palm 3 showing the internal operation of the Megasquirt. For more info try www.msefi.com Owned by my friend Dave Sloan.
Yep the Dyno nevers lies...
Something else you dont see everyday... And in the background a few bikes lined up for the Dyno.
